Ed Howard began his career in education in 1988 and is currently the Executive Director of Student and Community Services for the Orange Unified School District. Prior to his move to the District Office Ed served 10 years as the Principal at Villa Park High School. His 17 years in the classroom, Ed was a Government teacher, baseball coach, football coach, and Athletic Director. Born in the Bronx, New York, Ed has been a resident of Orange since 1976. Ed graduated from Villa Park High School. Ed attended Cypress Community College. Ed transferred to California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA Ed received his Bachelors of Art Degree in Political Science and teaching credential from Cal Lutheran. Ed holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration. Ed has been recognized as the Orange Unified School District Administrator of the Year and the ACSA Orange County Administrator of the Year. Ed served as a founding member of the Community Foundation of Orange, he has been a Rotarian and an Elk. Ed is married to Amiee and has two adult children, Savannah (UNM Graduate) and Eddie (sophomore, Fullerton College).
