Darnell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with vulnerable populations, communities, and systems. Darnell received his Bachelor’s degree in social work from California State University, Fresno where he was a Ronald E. McNair scholar and received the Dean’s Medalist award. Darnell went on to receive his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he was a School of Social Work Fellowship recipient. Darnell has experience working in community organizing, youth and adult substance abuse prevention and intervention, healthcare, and education. Darnell has a passion for working with vulnerable populations within the education system and has experience working at every educational level including elementary, middle, and high school as well as postsecondary education. For the past 9 years, Darnell has worked within the Fresno Unified School District as a Clinical School Social Worker and as a Medical Social Worker for the past 3 years with J&P Spine and Recovery Center.
